The following is a message from the Pacific Northwest PGA on behalf of the Governor's Office, clarifying the use of golf courses at this time:

"Golf is allowed as long as the social distancing measures are in place, country club activities for a gathering would not be allowed. We categorized golf similar to a hike or outdoor activity, rather than through “essential travel” which is meant to stop vacations."

McNary Golf Club is reopening the golf course with the most stringent of guidelines and in an abundance of caution. We want you to be able to use our outdoor property to help reduce stress during these ever changing times. Failure to comply with the following measures will result in removal from the course. McNary Golf Club will not be held responsible for adverse choices made by patrons.

New Social Distancing Guidelines effective Friday, July 24th, 2020:

  • In compliance with Governor Brown's Mandate on Social Distancing, McNary Golf Club requires golfers that ride together to wear a face mask anytime they cannot keep 6 feet apart from one another. This includes when riding in the cart. However, if you prefer to ride alone we do offer single rider carts at an additional cost. Please inquire in the Pro Shop for pricing. Members of the same household may ride together without wearing a face mask.
  • Only 1 patron is allowed in the Pro Shop at a time.
  • We encourage you to book your tee time on-line and pay in advance by going www.mcnarygolfclub.com to prevent being late for your tee time.
  • What McNary Golf Club is doing to make the environment as safe as possible:
  • Outdoor restrooms will be available for use as well as soap and water to wash your hands.
  • Pool noodles have been cut and placed in the hole. Flag stays in and once the ball is holed it’s easy to get ball and not touch the flagstick.
  • All rakes and ball washers have been removed.
  • Golf cart steering wheels and control switches will be sanitized after every use.

As always these conditions are fluid and subject to change at a moments notice.  Please check for updates on our website. McNary is trying to balance a fine line between offering a service for dealing with the stress of our nations new normal while remaining vigelent to the health and safety of our patrons and staff.
